What this tool does
This tool checks if a product barcode (EAN or UPC) is valid based on mathematical rules used by the GS1 system. It does not contact Amazon or any external seller to see if the product is actually listed or for sale on Amazon Marketplace. It only verifies that the number format is correct and has the right check digit.
Common uses
- Filtering out typos or invalid barcodes from a product list
- Ensuring barcodes follow standard formats before further processing
