Normalized NIE (ES)
What this tool does
This tool cleans up a Spanish Non-Citizen Identity Number (NIE) by removing any characters that are not letters or numbers, such as spaces or hyphens. It then converts all letters to uppercase. This helps ensure the number is in a consistent format before you use it in other systems.
Important: This tool only changes the text format. It does not check if the number is valid, real, or belongs to someone.
Common uses
- Standardizing NIE numbers from different forms or lists to make them look the same.
- Removing accidental spaces or symbols when copying numbers from documents.
- Preparing NIE numbers for use in reports or other data tools.
