Product by UPC
What this tool does
This tool checks if the Universal Product Code (UPC) you provide has a valid mathematical checksum. It does not connect to Amazon or any live product database. Because there is no real product lookup, it always returns default placeholder data.
Common uses
- Validating that a UPC format is correct before saving it in a form.
- Testing how your system handles product codes without relying on live market data.
Input data
| Parameter | Required | Example | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
upc | Yes | 635753490879 | Enter the UPC number as plain text. It must be exactly 12 digits (e.g., '635753490879'). If you enter invalid text or the wrong number of digits, the check will fail. |
