Domain has IP
What this tool does
This tool checks if a specific domain name is linked to a specific IP address using a reverse lookup. It tells you whether the system that manages the IP address identifies that same domain name when asked for its identity.
Important: This check is based on the current configuration of the network servers. The result depends entirely on how the IP address is set up by its provider. This does not confirm that the domain owner is legitimate, only that the technical link exists as defined by the network records.
Common uses
- Verify that an incoming email server’s IP address matches the domain name it claims to represent.
- Check if a server has been configured with the correct reverse identity for its assigned IP address.
- Investigate discrepancies when an IP address does not seem to match the expected website or service domain.
