What this tool does

This tool checks whether the content of a web page contains specific text or a pattern. You provide a web address and the text you are looking for, and the platform visits that address to see if the text appears in the page's HTML code. The check is not sensitive to capital letters, so 'Text' and 'text' are treated as the same.

Please note that this tool checks the raw HTML code of a page. It does not check text that is added by JavaScript after the page loads, nor does it check text inside images or PDF files. Additionally, if the web address is broken or blocked, the tool will report that the text was not found.

Common uses

  • Verifying that a specific confirmation message appears on a 'Thank You' page after a purchase.
  • Checking if a privacy policy link or legal disclaimer text is present on a footer page.
  • Validating that a specific product name or campaign identifier is visible on a landing page.

Good to know

  • The search ignores differences between uppercase and lowercase letters.
  • If the webpage uses dynamic content loaded by scripts, the tool might not see the final text displayed to users.
