Check if Internet $1.00 / 1,000 calls

URL is valid

What this tool does

This tool checks whether the text you provide looks like a proper internet address (URL). It verifies that the address starts with http://, https://, or ftp://, followed by two colons, and includes some content after those colons. It does not check if the address actually works or connects to a real website.

It is only a format check. The tool cannot guarantee that the website exists or is reachable. It might say a URL is valid even if the site is down or the address is a typo that still looks like a valid pattern.

Common uses

  • Checking that a list of website links is correctly formatted before using them in a campaign or document.
  • Validating user input on a form to ensure addresses are typed in the correct structure.
