City by name (ES)
What this tool does
This tool finds a city name by searching for a partial match. It currently only works for cities in Spain.
Because it looks for matches, the first result may not always be the most famous or important city for that name. You get the top match based on the platform's internal list.
Common uses
- Filling in address forms where only part of the city name is known.
- Validating that a typed city name exists in Spain.
Input data
| Parameter | Required | Example | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
city | Yes | Bar | Type the beginning of the city name you are looking for (e.g. 'Bar' for Barcelona). This is required. If you type letters that do not match any city in Spain, you will get an empty result. |
Output data
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
result | The name of the city that matched your search. For example, if you search for 'Bar', it returns 'Barcelona'. If no city is found, it returns an empty text field. |
