Decimal Coordinates
What this tool does
This tool converts simple numeric latitude and longitude values into a more traditional geographical format using degrees, minutes, and seconds. You provide the coordinates in decimal form, and the platform returns a human-readable string that includes the direction (North, South, East, or West) for each measurement.
Please note that this process is a mathematical conversion performed by the platform and does not involve a live lookup of geographical data. The 'result' field always returns the value 'True' to indicate the system processed the request; it is not a measurement of location accuracy.
Common uses
- Preparing address or location data for systems that require degrees, minutes, and seconds format.
- Converting GPS data from mobile apps into a standard textual representation.
