Domain record by DNS type
What this tool does
This tool looks up specific information stored in the Domain Name System (DNS) for a given website address. You tell it which address to check and what kind of data you want to see, and it returns the current records associated with that address.
Results may be empty if the domain does not exist, the specific record type is not found, or there are network issues preventing the lookup.
Common uses
- Checking where a website directs traffic (IP addresses).
- Verifying email server settings for a domain.
- Confirming the text-based identification records for a site.
