Location by IP
What this tool does
This tool finds the general geographic location linked to a web address (IP). It uses the address to show the city, region, country, and the numbers used for maps.
These results are estimates based on where the address is registered, not where the person is sitting. The location may be the location of the internet provider, not the user.
Common uses
- Seeing where visitors are coming from on a website.
- Checking if an address is in a specific country for simple rules.
