Table from URL
What this tool does
This tool takes a web page address or a PDF file link and pulls out any data tables found on that page or within the document. It returns the information as a list of rows, where each row is a list of column values.
The main caveat is that this only works for tables that are clearly marked in the underlying code of the page (HTML) or in structured PDFs. If the data is inside an image, a scanned document, or just formatted as plain text without table structure, the tool will not see it. If no tables are found, the result will be an empty list.
Common uses
- Extracting structured data from HTML pages for further analysis.
- Gathering information from downloadable PDF reports that contain tabular data.
