VAT% by address
What this tool does
This tool looks up the standard tax rate (VAT) for a specific country based on a physical address you provide. It first identifies the country from the address and then returns the name of that country, its two-letter country code, and the applicable tax percentage.
Please note that this process relies on geocoding the address to find the country. If the address is unclear, incomplete, or not found, the tool may not be able to determine the country, resulting in empty results for the country name, code, and tax rate. Additionally, the tax rate is based on a general national standard and may not reflect local variations or specific exemptions.
Common uses
- Automating tax calculations for invoices by identifying the correct rate for the customer's location.
- Verifying the country associated with a client's billing address for compliance records.
- Quickly finding the two-letter country code and name from a text address.
