VAT% by zipcode
What this tool does
This tool finds the standard Value Added Tax (VAT) rate for a specific postal code. It works best with Spanish addresses, as it first checks a local list of Spanish zip codes. For other locations, it tries to guess the country from the zip code using a mapping service.
There are important limitations. The tool only guarantees accurate VAT rates for Spain. For other countries, the country match is based on the zip code, which may not always be correct, and the VAT rate shown might not reflect the actual local law. If the zip code is not recognized in any way, the tool returns empty results.
Common uses
- Checking the correct VAT rate for a customer's address in Spain.
- Identifying the country associated with a zip code for international orders.
- Completing invoicing forms that require tax rate information.
