Check if Communication $1.50 / 1,000 calls

Mobile has valid prefix (ES)

What this tool does

This tool checks if a Spanish mobile phone number starts with a valid mobile prefix. It looks at the number and sees if the first two digits are '6' or '7' and if the total length is 9 digits (after removing the country code '34' if it was included).

The main caveat is that this check is based only on the numbers typed in. It does not contact the phone company to see if the number is actually active or assigned to someone. If the number you provide is not in the correct format for a Spanish mobile, the result will be no.

Common uses

  • Filtering a list of Spanish phone numbers to keep only those that look like mobile numbers.
  • Correcting data entry errors by identifying numbers that are missing the correct mobile start code.
  • Validating user input on a form before sending a message to a Spanish mobile phone.
